THE GLOBAL CHALLENGE
Artificial intelligence is advancing at a pace that challenges humanity's ability to anticipate its consequences. Warnings from leading scientists, researchers, and even individuals within AI development companies have raised urgent questions about human control, safety, employment, education, and the future of decision-making.
The central challenge is no longer what AI can achieve, but whether humanity is adequately prepared for what comes next.
The world faces a shared responsibility to ensure that technological progress remains aligned with human dignity, rights, and well-being.
This conference calls for international dialogue and meaningful Arab parliamentary engagement to examine emerging risks, strengthen responsible governance, and develop a common vision for the future.
Its ambition is to move beyond discussion toward the Amman Initiative: a proposed Arab framework for cooperation and collective action.
